Kolkoz is a French art collective consisting of Samuel Boutruche and Benjamin Moreau. The two artists both live and work in Paris under the Kolkoz moniker. They create art in a diverse range of mediums that spans from videos to sculptures and installations.
The very large (120 x 400 cm) neon sign reads “Emoclew”, which means Welcome backwards. The piece uses the aesthetics of the old American diner or motel neon lights, the kind of neon sign one might see while driving at night on the US Highway. It can be seen from all angles.
